Hello and welcome! I’m Sheila – American born, Italian at heart – and a missionary in Italy (30 years and counting). A am also wife to my very own Super Mario, mom of 2 adult children, and nonna to 9.
But this blog isn’t about me or our work here, although I do occasionally write on that. Because really, we’re pretty boring people!
Nor is it about:
- Perfect Me trying to help you get it all together too. I am a work-in-progress with an extremely loving and patient Father.
- Me trying to get you to share my opinions, thinking I’m always right – because I am far from that as well.
What Olive Tree Faith is:
- My own study and devotional place.
- A place where others can join me in stepping aside as we try to hear what God and his word have to say to us.
Because we are inundated daily with information, voices, and opinions. So much so that it’s hard to process it all, let alone weed through it. But at the end of the day, the only voice that really matters is God’s.
Now, more than ever, we need to dig into his word and build our life and faith on it.
An enduring faith that will stand the test of time, storms, and drought – because it’s rooted in God’s word.
I thank you so much for joining me. And I really do hope and pray that you may find at least a small measure of hope, inspiration, and encouragement in these posts.
Well Arrivederci, for now…
Because you see, arrivederci is not a permanent good-bye. It simply means “until we see each other again…” So see you soon! And thank you so much for your visit!
